Now is not the time for tourism

We repeat and support the message below declared by our regional Visit Norfolk team:

We look forward to welcoming visitors to Norfolk in future, but now is not the time. We ask people not to come while the country endures the pandemic and until it is safe again.

The government has said people should avoid travelling unless it is essential. Essential travel, the Department for Health and Social Care said, does not include visits to second homes, camp sites, caravan parks or similar, whether for isolation purposes or holidays. For residents and people who are already here, please act responsibly and conform to government guidelines of social distancing and staying at least 2 metres away from others.

The classic resort of Hunstanton offers Victorian charm and traditional seaside fun. Along with neighbouring Old Hunstanton, it is the ideal base for enjoying the wonderful coastline.

King’s Lynn

The Hanseatic town of King’s Lynn is brim full of maritime heritage and outstanding historic buildings. Combined with its bustling shopping centre, it is a great place to discover and explore.

Downham Market

The ancient town of Downham Market is full of character, an excellent base from which to explore the countryside and a haven for lovers of wildlife, peace and tranquillity.
